Eden Prairie defeated Totino-Grace four times during its 40-game winning streak, including a 28-27 loss in the Class 6A state title game two years ago.

Last season's upset may have provided head coach Jeff Ferguson's Eagles with some satisfaction, but their season also ended with a bit of disappointment after losing in the semifinals by one point to eventual champion Osseo.

This is the second consecutive season the two teams will meet in Week 1 — with Eden Prairie claiming a 38-20 victory last year — and this expects to be a competitive matchup considering they have faced off in the playoffs the past two seasons.
