Robbinsdale Cooper at Spring Lake Park
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 9

The Suburban Red subdistrict's top two teams meet in the regular-season finale as No. 2-5A Spring Lake Park hosts No. 8-5A Robbinsdale Cooper. The Panthers (7-0, 6-0) can take the title outright with a victory while the Hawks (6-1, 5-1) will earn a share with a win.

Cooper averages a subdistrict-high 40 points per game thanks to a well-rounded backfield. Quarterback Phillip Taylor scored three touchdowns last week, increasing his season total to eight passing and six rushing TDs. Levonte Taylor handles the bulk of the rushing duties and has 15 TDs after recording three TDs in Week 7.

Spring Lake Park is led by quarterback Zachary Ojile and running back Isley Carrington, who each have more than 950 rushing yards and double-digit TDs this season. The Panthers defense has picked off 12 passes.
