Park of Cottage Grove at Mahtomedi
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 2

It has been quite a turnaround for the Park of Cottage Grove football program. After finishing 2-7 last season, the Wolfpack (5-1, 5-1) enter this season's home stretch tied with South St. Paul and St. Thomas Academy atop the East Metro Red subdistrict standings and can lock up at least a share of the league title with wins in their final two regular-season games.

Park's first test will be a road game against Mahtomedi (4-2, 4-2), which is coming off a 14-9 loss to North St. Paul.

The Wolfpack have a balanced offense led. Quarterback Brendan Beaulieu is averages 143.3 passing yards per game and had thrown 10 touchdowns while running back Tolu Ogunrinde gives the team a big-play threat with a 9.1 yards per carry average and five TDs.
