Mounds View at Woodbury
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 2

After last year's abysmal 1-8 season, Woodbury has rebounded and is in the driver's seat in the East Metro Blue subdistrict title race. If the Royals (5-1, 4-1) can defeat No. 10-6A Mounds View (4-2, 3-2) this week, they will meet East Ridge (5-1, 5-0) next week with the league title on the line.

A key to Woodbury's success this season has been winning tight games. They are 3-1 in contests decided by seven points or less and have an average margin of victory of 6.3 points.

It also helps to have a do-it-all quarterback in Brady Mundahl. The senior has thrown for 1,082 yards and 11 touchdowns while also leading the team with six rushing TDs. His top target in the passing game is wide receiver Jeremiah Codden, who has caught 26 passes for 426 yards and six TDs.
