Key of the game: St. Thomas’ ability to run the ball. The Cadets accrued more than 200 yards of offense in the first quarter, much of it on the ground, and Hubbell had nearly 150 yards of offense in the first half. Running back Sean McFadden also finished with more than 100 yards of offense.

St. Thomas Academy rumbled for more than 450 yards of offense, including 314 in the first half to take an early three-touchdown lead, before holding on Thurdsday for a 38-35 victory over Park of Cottage Grove.

Woody Hubbell scored twice in the first half, and Dan Gehrz, John Myran and Andrew Tri also scored for the undefeated Cadets (3-0).
