Esko at Moose Lake-Willow River
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 4

Esko hasn't defeated Moose Lake-Willow River since 2005, a streak that is due to the Rebels' emergence as powerhouse program. Moose Lake-Willow River has appeared in nine consecutive Class 2A state tournaments.

The No. 4-3A Eskomos has a another shot to end the dominance when they hit the road to take on the No. 3-2A Rebels.

It is no secret who the Esko defense will be hoping to slow down. Junior running back Bryceton Butkiewicz is coming off a seven-touchdown performance, which brings his season total to 10. He has been a key part of a Moose Lake-Willow River offense that is putting up 57 points per game.

The Rebels edged the Eskomos 38-28 last year.
