Glencoe-Silver Lake at Hutchinson
7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28

One could make an argument that Glencoe-Silver Lake has been one of Minnesota's most dominant football programs for the past decade, earning eight trips to the state tournament since 2005. The Panthers won three consecutive Class 3A state titles (2006-08) and were runners-up in 2009. Glencoe-Silver Lake moved up to Class 4A in 2012 and reached state each of the last two seasons.

The Panthers' next opponent is Hutchinson, a team that has won the past five meetings by a combined score of 166-43. However, Hutchinson enters this matchup off a tough 41-14 loss to Becker.

Meanwhile, Glencoe-Silver Lake is riding high after avenging a loss to New London-Spicer in last year's in Class 3A state semifinals. The Panthers cruised to a 20-6 win over the Wildcats in Week 1.
