Edina gets a break from battling Class 6A powers as the Hornets square off against Class 4A DeLaSalle. The Hornets lost the opener against Maple Grove 27-8 and hope to get their offense rolling after being held to just 118 yards.

The Islanders are coming off a 62-12 victory against St. Croix Lutheran, the reigning 3A champs. Quarterback Billy Hart threw five touchdowns to three receivers and, along with running back James King Jr., gave DeLaSalle a potent running attack. Hart and King Jr. each eclipsed 100 yards and scored a touchdown.
